Love Mobile does not sell phones. We are a bring your own device carrier. You keep the phone you already have, which means you are not paying off a new device or signing a financing agreement just to switch.
What your phone needs
Your phone works with Love Mobile if all three are true:
It supports eSIM. We activate entirely by eSIM. There is no physical SIM card to wait for and nothing to insert.
It is unlocked. If your phone is still locked, see the section below before you buy. A locked phone may still qualify for a second line.
It is a US-market phone. Phones bought overseas are built differently and may not work.

Does my phone support eSIM?
iPhone: open Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Service, and look for Add eSIM.
Android: open Settings, then Network and internet or Connections, and look for SIM manager or Add eSIM.
If you see that option, your phone supports eSIM.
Is my phone unlocked?
iPhone: Settings, then General, then About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says No SIM restrictions, you are unlocked.
Android: your current carrier can confirm in a minute.
If your phone is locked
To fully switch to Love Mobile, your phone needs to be unlocked. Contact your current carrier and request a device unlock. Most carriers unlock within 24 to 48 hours as long as the phone is fully paid off and your account is in good standing. We cannot unlock a phone locked by another carrier.
Locked phone? You may still be able to add a Love Mobile line
Here is the exception. If the Love network you choose, Love Pink, Love Blue, or Love Red, matches the network your phone is currently locked to, you may be able to add a Love Mobile line as a second line on that phone, even while it is still locked and still being paid off.
Two things to know before you get excited:
Your current number stays where it is. A locked phone cannot move your existing number to Love Mobile. Your first line keeps running with your current carrier, and your Love Mobile line comes with its own new number.
It is not guaranteed. Carrier locks vary by device and by account. Chat with us or call 1-888-271-LOVE with your phone's make and model, and we will check your specific device before you spend a dollar.
What can you do with a second Love Mobile line?
A second line on the phone you already carry is more useful than most people expect:
A dedicated business or work number. Keep work calls and texts separate from your personal life, on one phone, with no second device to carry.
Try Love Mobile before you switch. Test our coverage at your home, your job, and your commute on a real line. When your phone is paid off and unlocked, you can move your main number over with confidence.
A number you can give out freely. Use your Love line for marketplace listings, online signups, contractors, and anyone who does not need your personal number.
Extra data. Your Love line brings its own high-speed data and hotspot, on top of what your current plan gives you.
A line that gives back. Every Love Mobile line supports nonprofit Love Partners through our Give Back Model, automatically, at no extra cost to you. For every 1,000 local subscribers, the Give Back Model can generate up to $120,000 a year for one nonprofit.

Planning to buy a phone?
Buy it unlocked and eSIM capable, directly from Apple, Google, Samsung, or an authorized retailer. Phones sold as unlocked by the manufacturer are ready for Love Mobile out of the box. Avoid carrier-financed phones if you want to switch right away, since they stay locked until paid off.
Special case: the All Love Plan
The All Love Plan puts all three Love networks on one phone and needs newer hardware than a standard plan: iPhone 13 or newer, Pixel 7 or newer, or Galaxy S24 or newer, in US versions. See Which Phones Work With the All Love Plan?
